Unity & Diversity

Everyone Is Welcome At Unity!

At Unity, everyone is recognized as a true spiritual being, awakening to the truth that sets them free. We strive to present a positive, practical, and progressive approach to Christianity. If you have been searching for a love-focused place of worship that embraces all people and honors all spiritual paths, Unity could be your answer.

Perhaps here you will find what so many others have – the feeling you have come home. We believe that every person is a creation of God and capable of being a light in this world. Therefore, at one’s core is a divine nature of goodness that every person is either asleep or attuned to in varying degrees. A deepening conscious relationship with God helps this God-Seed or divine nature to blossom. Life is for learning and growing spiritually. We hope you will join us at one of our services, and we want you to know you are welcome here.

Statement of Diversity

Unity teaches that all people are created with sacred worth and that no one exists outside the heart of God. To reflect its inclusiveness, Unity issued a formal Statement of Diversity in 1995: “We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. Therefore, we recognize the importance of serving all people within the Unity family spiritually and emotionally.

LGBTQ Inclusive

Additionally, in 2011, Unity launched an LGBT Resource Center on its website to provide spiritual resources geared to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community. The resource center includes articles, podcasts, prayer support, and a list of Unity churches and centers around the country. Site resources are provided by teachers, authors, and contributors both inside and outside the Unity movement.

Interfaith

Unity teachings are based on universal spiritual principles that run like a thread through the world’s religions. These are laws that seem to govern humankind no matter where we live, how we view the Divine, or even whether we are aware these principles exist. They have been expressed in many ways for thousands of years.
