Spirit Groups & Classes
A SpiritGroup is a small group of people (average group size is 8) who meet weekly to connect with one another while exploring a spiritual topic or theme.
New Offerings coming late January 2023.
The majority of our groups at this time are meeting via zoom.
We know you’re busy. One of the great things about SpiritGroups is that the commitment is for a limited number of weeks. Some groups continue to meet cycle after cycle, while other groups or group members take a break in between launches. Choose a group that meets and a time and/or location that is convenient for you to make it easy! When you sign-up for a group, please know that you are committing to attend each session for that cycle. If you do have to miss a session, just let your group host know.
Group offerings vary from cycle to cycle. In the weeks prior to the launch, we will add a link to this page with a map of all the open groups. (groups with space available). We also have group signups available in the church lobby for the three Sundays preceding each launch.
Our groups are led by volunteers; wherever we have willing and trained hosts- that’s where our groups will be! If you don’t see a group close to you, consider hosting or co-hosting a group.
We’re so glad you asked! Being a SpiritGroup host is fun and rewarding! Hosts attend a two-hour training session to give them all the information they need to know. As a new host, you can choose from a library of video curricula. Each curriculum includes weekly discussion guides and host videos. Essentially, the host’s role is to create a safe and sacred container for connection and discussion. The other main responsibility of the host is to determine the day and time, as well as the location, that your group will meet. If you’re interested in finding out more about being a host, please contact Michael Rocque via email: spiritualdude@unityucsg.org.
