Second Chance Cats of West Michigan was founded in March 2021 when two other cats only rescues closed down in the area during the Pandemic.
Our mission is to give cats in need a second chance at a full and healthy life.
We do this by helping to prevent unnecessary euthanasia or suffering by working with open intake shelters to pull cats at risk as well as working with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) groups to bring in cats that have been abandoned or are friendly and suffering trying to survive.
We take these cats in and give them a safe, warm place to stay that is as home-like as possible until they are adopted out into their forever homes.
We take on many cases that others do not have time or resources for. We give scared cats the time and space needed to come around on their terms. We will do whatever it takes to help an injured cat come to a full recovery.
We believe that "All Things Grow With Love" and that has been true of our rescue with our loving, dedicated volunteers and the cats we serve as we see them grow and heal with the love that surrounds them.
